Subject: ACPS Athletics Spectator Update for Spring Sports Events
Following Governor Northam’s Amendment of Executive Order #72 on April 29, Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) is making the following adjustments to the spectator limits and admission procedures for the Spring 2021 sports season, effective on Monday, May 3.
- ACPS schools will increase spectator limits to the lesser of 1,000 spectators or 50% of the facility’s capacity. (Capacities will vary from facility to facility.)
- VHSL Approved Passes, ACPS Faculty/Staff ID cards, and ACPS Gold Cards will be accepted for Free admission. The person requesting Free admission must present the pass/ID card at the time of entry.
- Non-school aged children will be admitted Free when accompanied by an adult.
- K-12 students will need to purchase ticket(s) for admission.

- Please be reminded that per Executive Order #72, the use of masks/face coverings IS STILL REQUIRED both indoors and outdoors at sporting events.
- The online platform ‘TicketSpicket’ remains the sole source for purchasing tickets to ACPS athletics events. To purchase tickets to events, please visit your respective school’s athletics website or visit www.TicketSpicket.com and search for your school.
These adjustments will allow additional family members and community members to participate as spectators in the remainder of the spring sports season. Thank you for your support of our students, our coaches and our schools through this most unprecedented time.
